まずは、XC60の試乗から。導入時には、2l4直噴ユニットにターボ、スーパーチャージャー、スーパーチャージャーを組み合わせて320ps/400Nmの出力を実現し、旧型ハルデックスカップリングを介して4WD駆動でした。
現在のT6 AWDには、253ps/350Nmをマークする2L 4気筒直噴ターボに加え、前方に52kW/165Nm、後方に107kW/309Nmの電動モーターを搭載し、ドライブシャフトなしに電動4WDを実現しています。

また、最新のマイナーチェンジで駆動用のリチウムイオンバッテリーを18.8kWhにアップグレードし、WLTCモードでのBEV走行距離を従来値の2倍以上の81kmに延ばしました。この距離を刻めば、モーターだけで平日の日常使用をカバーすることが容易になります。
XC60とXC90は同じスケーラブルアーキテクチャを使用していますが、走行特性は驚くほど異なります。
